Solihull School - Archive project
We have recently launched a new web-based application for the storage, search and management of School archives. The system includes a membership engine to facilitate engagement with alumni, creating a powerful mechanism for communication with, and between, past pupils which can be used as part of the cornerstone of a Development Office establishment.
Most Schools will have some sort of archive, which in many cases can go back a considerable number of years and may include photographs, school records, press cuttings, video and audio clips, as well as content that is routinely generated each year.
The system allows archive material to be scanned and catalogued appropriately through the use of comprehensive categorisation and keywords tagging. This can then be displayed in a bespoke web framework, enabling users to explore the material in many different ways, including searching for keywords within the documents themselves.
Both the Archive database and Alumni membership facility are controlled using an administrator function, which also allows the management of other content displayed on the website through a powerful and easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS:X).
For further information on bringing your archive to life, please contact us and we will be delighted to arrange a demonstration and discuss your requirements.
